Hunger Action Month 2020

We can end hunger one helping at a time.

September 2020 is Hunger Action Month, Feeding America‘s nationwide network of food banks’ awareness campaign designed to mobilize the public to take action on the issue of hunger. We project that more than 54 million people could face hunger this year in the wake of the pandemic. We need the support of the community now more than ever to help our neighbors in need. With every action, we get one step closer to making hunger a thing of the past. In the month of September, we re-ignite our commitment to this mission. We, together, can end hunger one helping, or one action, at a time.

Volunteer

To keep up with increased demand for emergency food, we are looking for dedicated volunteers to help in our warehouse, Brown Bag: Food for Elders sites, and Mobile Food Bank distribution sites. Learn how to get started!

Engage

This year, the 10th Annual Will Bike 4 Food is taking place as a month-long, virtual celebration. Ride and raise funds to provide emergency meals during this critical time for our community. Or sponsor your favorite Will Bike 4 Food cyclists as they pedal for to ending hunger, including Andrew Morehouse, our executive director.

Advocate

As a hunger advocate, you’ll communicate with legislators about local food security issues and urge them to provide the resources needed to help end hunger. By lending your voice, you can help create concrete and lasting solutions for hunger and related causes. Learn more
