Connect your Campus to the Food Assistance Network
If your school does not have a food pantry and you are interested in learning how these were started, contact our Food Bank Agency Recruitment Coordinator Kate Pousont Scarborough at katep@foodbankwma.org.
College and university pantries are open to all students, faculty, and staff at the school with which they are affiliated.

SNAP for College Students
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides monthly benefits to help people purchase food. Benefits are added monthly to an EBT card that functions like a debit card and can be used at any approved retailer to buy groceries.
Many college students are eligible for SNAP benefits! We understand that the requirements are confusing, and welcome all students who have any questions about their eligibility to reach out to one of our Coordinators at 413-992-6204. If you are eligible, they can also help you apply for SNAP benefits over the phone.
Want to advocate with the Food Bank?
Together, we can push for change, bringing issues of hunger to the forefront and empowering people to work towards developing long-term solutions.
One of our current policy priorities is increasing food security on college campuses through the The Hunger‐Free Campus Initiative, and there are many ways students can be involved in advocating for this program as well as others that address the drivers of hunger.
