August 17-21 is a SNAP Week of Action, a national effort calling on Congress to reverse the harmful cuts to SNAP enacted since last year. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is an evidence-based government program that helps people, including children, veterans, people with disabilities, and older adults, afford groceries and access nutritious food. It is one of the most effective anti-hunger tools, but it’s only effective when people can access the program.
