Member agencies receive Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation grants
Several of The Food Bank’s Berkshire County member agencies received grants from the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation this summer to assist them with capacity building. Grants of up to $10,000 will help these organizations purchase new equipment or update their facilities. One organization, South Congregational Church Food Pantry in Pittsfield, received funding to purchase solar panels to offset utility costs for new equipment.
“We’re grateful to the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation for this investment in the county’s emergency food network,” says Michelle Geoffroy, Agency Relations Manager. These capacity grants now enable these agencies to distribute even more fresh, healthy food from The Food Bank to our neighbors in Berkshire County!”
