March for the Food Bank is back for our 17th year of impact

March for the Food Bank is a community fundraiser held every November, spanning all four counties in Western Massachusetts – now with the addition of the Mini-March. Led by Monte Belmonte of New England Public Media, Congressman Jim McGovern, and Food Bank CEO Andrew Morehouse, hundreds of marchers from all over Western Mass walk 46 miles over two days from Springfield to Greenfield. Registration is now open!

The March raises funds and awareness for the Food Bank and creates sustained public attention around the policies, systems, and economic conditions that drive hunger in the first place. This November 23-24, join others who care about building food security in Western Mass.

Marchers can walk individually or form teams to maximize their fundraising. The distance is also flexible – marchers are encouraged to walk the amount that works for them, whether that’s a portion of the route, one day, or both days. Supporters can also fundraise without marching at all! Supporters can donate to an individual marcher, a team, or make a general donation. With every $1 raised, the Food Bank can provide the equivalent of 3 meals.

After Party

Hosted at Hawks & Reed, the After Party celebrates our collective success across the two-day event. No tickets or registration are needed for the After Party – come cheer on our marchers as they take on the final hill to the finish line!

The March is more than a symbol of solidarity around hunger — it is a meaningful way for people to come together and create change. We are so grateful to stand with all of you. Together, we end hunger.

Sponsors

March for the Food Bank couldn’t happen without the tremendous support we receive each year from our local, regional and national sponsors. Businesses that sponsor the March for the Food Bank will be seen by hundreds of marchers and their supporters, and can receive further benefits including website, newsletter, social media, print collateral, and on-air recognition.

With several different levels to choose from, there is a sponsorship opportunity for all businesses — big and small — to join us in ending hunger.
