Local cycling coach offering free WB4F Training Ride at Berkshire Brewing Co.

With Will Bike 4 Food a little more than a month away, now’s the time to hop on your bike and get into gear.  The Food Bank and local cycling coach, Tracy Roth, are offering a free, training ride on Thursday, August 18, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Berkshire Brewing Company ( 12 Railroad Street, South Deerfield). The event will kick off with a small, beer sampling from returning event sponsor BBC, followed by a 15 mile ride.

“This is a great opportunity for cyclists to meet one another, for teams to build camaraderie, and for everyone to learn how their participation in WB4F will support the community,” explains Heather Clark, Marketing & Development Manager at The Food Bank.

Tracy Roth is a Level 3 USA Cycling Coach, Certified Spin Instructor and Integrative Nutrition Health Coach who will offer tips to cyclists of all levels during the 15-mile training ride. If enough people register, she’ll form two groups—one for cyclists who enjoy riding at a faster pace and another for those who enjoy riding a leisurely pace. Tracy is also offering Century Ride Training Program for women who plan to cycle the WB4F 100 mile route.

The training ride is open to everyone, not just registered WB4F riders. Food Bank staff will be on-hand to answer any questions about the event, and to help you sign up as an individual or to form a team.
