Food Bank Farm 2.0 Breaking Ground Ceremony

Wednesday, May 20, 2020

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Park at Mapleline Farm, 57 Comins Road, Hadley.
Shuttles will bring you to the Food Bank Farm site.

Join us to celebrate breaking ground at our second Food Bank Farm and the Kestrel Land Trust Farm Trail.

The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has purchased a 142–acre parcel of land in Hadley that will serve as an abundant source of local produce for food-insecure households. A small portion of this land will become a community farm where volunteers and school groups work together to plant, grow, and harvest crops while learning about agriculture. Come see, firsthand, the impact your support is having on farm preservation and food insecurity in the region. We’re looking forward to launching an exciting, new endeavor that will enable us to deliver more healthy, fresh food to our neighbors in need.
