Get real life experience while gaining college credit and supporting the region’s leading organization working to reduce hunger and increase food security. 

Advocacy & Education

The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has long advocated that everyone can play a role in ending hunger. Interns will work on projects related to macro policy change at the state and federal levels, as well as local grassroots and national advocacy initiatives dedicated to increasing community food security.

The Food Bank works behind the scenes of nearly every charitable organization that provides food to people in need in western Massachusetts.  Interns will work closely with The Food Bank staff on special projects and administration of these programs, all of which are helping to reduce hunger and increase food security.

Development & Marketing, Communications and Special Events

The Development Team is constantly growing and changing to meet the new and expanding needs of the organization. Responsible for all private fundraising, press communications, corporate partnerships, and major events, the Development and Communications Division offers a rich, fast-paced team environment with lots of opportunity to learn and pursue new projects.

The Food Bank Farm is one of the largest and most efficient community supported agriculture (CSA’s) organic farms in the country and the first with the primary mission of helping to feed those in need.
