HUMAN RESOURCES INTERNSHIP

Weekly Time Commitment:  10 hours
Duration: Semester
Supervision:  Human Resources Manager
Compensation: Opportunity for generalist experience in all areas of human resources
Location:  Food Bank's Hatfield office

Internship description: Assist with research and development related to all human resource activities: organizational development, employee benefits, professional development, hiring and recruitment, diversity and cultural competency, and volunteer recruitment.

Tasks Include: Internet and phone research, phone calls, document creation, proposal writing, and volunteer recruitment (depending on skills/interests/credit needs)

Qualifications: Skilled in Mircosoft Office, comfortable with networking activities, good written and oral communication skills, and project management skills

Founded in 1982, The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts is a 501(c)(3) organization and a member of America’s Second Harvest, a national network of 200 regional food banks.We are a central clearing house of food from the food industry, accepting donated food by the truckload and distributing it to 396 hundred smaller, independent programs serving people in need.The mission of The Food Bank is to work with our community to reduce hunger and increase food security in the four counties of western Massachusetts.
